The PTA work in partnership with the school, to fund items that the school budget does not normally stretch to or provide extra resources to enrich a child’s experience at Norris Bank in both leisure time and play. We are a group of active and enthusiastic parents, supported by the teachers organising events to help provide these much needed funds. We do this by organising events throughout the school year. Items we have funded at the school are:
- The refurbishment of the KS1 playground
- New picnic tables in the junior playground
- The new Gazebo
- The adventure playground
- Blinds and PA system in the School Hall
- Portable PA system
- Funding for the infants and junior liberties and funding for new books.

We are always looking for more volunteers to join us and help out at events. We have one meeting a month at school in the staff room so if you would like to know more please feel free to come along to the next meeting. NORRIS BANK PARENTS ASSOCIATION – LUCKY NUMBERS
Norris Bank Lucky Numbers is a private monthly lottery draw open to parents, friends and relatives of pupils at Norris Bank School.
The way it works is that each member contributes £2 per month, by standing order, and receives a membership number (you can have as many numbers as you like!). Every month all these numbers would be included in the draw (subject to the School receiving the regular monthly payment) and the owners of the winning numbers receive a cash amount. This will be determined by the amount of interest shown. For example, if there were 100 members, then the prize money each month would be £100 to share out. There will be 3 winners each month 1st and 2 runners up. We have 78 members and would like to get to 100 members so if you have not joined already please do.
There are two reasons why you should consider joining the scheme:
Firstly, it is a very easy way to help the Parents’ Association raise funds for the school– all you need to do is fill out the Enrolment Form and Standing Order Mandate form and return them to the school office and that’s it.
Then, even if you find that you are not able to attend the fundraising events (although we hope that you will) you can relax in the knowledge that you are still “doing your bit” to help the school.
Secondly, you might actually win a prize. The regulations governing private lotteries mean that half of the money collected must be paid out in prizes so the more of you who join, the more winners there will be! Winners will be notified by Email in the first instance and a cheque will be sent a few days later. Details of the prize money available each month, together with a list of the lucky winners, will also be displayed on our website (www.norrisbank.stockport.sch.uk).
